Live sessions start week of 20th July 2026 · Spaces are limited to keep groups small
1. The lack of understanding - they read a text but don't know how to interrogate it, so their answers stay surface-level.
2. The missing model - they've never seen what a genuine grade 9 answer actually looks like, so they're guessing at what "good" means.
3. The mastery of technique - they know the terminology (similes, metaphors, personification) but don't know how to use it to build an argument that examiners reward.
The result? Answers that lack depth. Evaluation that reads as generic. Writing that "tells" a story instead of controlling one. And a student who's working hard but not seeing their grade improve.
Every skill your teen needs - reading, evaluating, and writing - comes down to the same three questions:
What is the genre?
What is the theme being explored?
How does it impact me, the reader?
Once a student can ask these questions automatically, analysis stops being a guessing game. They start reverse-engineering texts the way examiners actually mark them - and the same process transfers directly into their own creative and transactional writing.
This is the exact method my students use to jump 2–4 grades in a matter of months.

Confidence with unseen texts - the ability to comprehend and evaluate anything put in front of them, not just texts they've practised
Independent evaluation - no more copying generic phrases; they'll build nuanced, specific judgements automatically
Structural control in writing - moving from "wandering plot" to a repeatable, deliberate writing system
Exam-day calm - a clear framework replaces panic, because they know exactly what to do with any question
Live expert tuition sessions (60 minutes) in small, focused groups
Full access to Uplevel Academy's library of resources - gold-standard lesson recordings covering the exact areas students struggle with most, including grammar and comparison questions
Model answers and crib-sheets to revise key information and build a game plan for exam conditions
Weekly assignments so they put every strategy into practice

Option 1 - Do nothing. Keep going as you are. But without a change in approach, the same gaps tend to produce the same results.
Option 2 - Go it alone. Try to piece together strategies without expert guidance. It's possible - but it takes time you may not have before exams, and it's easy to implement techniques inconsistently without feedback.
Option 3 - Get expert support now. A clear, proven system, live expert feedback, and a small group environment — so your teen makes the most of the summer before it's gone.
The investment is small. The confidence and skills it builds will carry your teen well beyond this exam.
