Uplevel Academy offers a teaching and learning environment to help your child thrive and succeed in their English studies.
Using our decade of teaching experience in the UK and abroad, we have carefully developed a study programme that, not only allows your child to achieve their desired grades in English, but to also feel confident and good about themselves, allowing them to utilise what they have learnt in their exams and beyond.

Weekly homework with personalised video feedback from your child's tutor
One of the biggest complaints that you and your child may have is that your child might not receive much homework. Or, that your child is set homework, but they do not receive sufficient feedback.
We are proud of the fact that we set weekly homework that is firmly related to the skills and material taught, so that your child has the opportunity to independently implement what they have studied. By doing this, it helps them to see whether they are feeling confident with the topic, as well as offering them the chance to practice the skills for their exams, without fear of failure.
Once your child has completed and submitted their homework, they will then receive feedback, which comes in two forms:
An email with a break down of what your child has done well to develop their self-esteem; a break down of what your child needs to work on, and then a summary of how they can uplevel their work.
Video feedback - we do a video recording going through your child's homework, so that your child understands exactly what we are referring to. It also allows your child to deepen their understanding of how to uplevel their work, which is crucial. Afterall, what is the point of homework and feedback, if your child does not understand or know how to make their work better?
If that was not enough, because transparency is at the heart of what we do, we also include you, the parent. We do this by CC'ing you into the email feedback to your child, so that you know exactly where your child is at in terms of their English studies.

Lesson Recordings with Online Learning Portal Access
To further support your child, we provide your child access to our exclusive online learning portal. There you will find:
Lesson recordings, so that your child can revisit past classes to aid with revision and understanding. This is also vital so that if your child misses a class they do not fall behind, as they can catch the recording.
Model exam answers, so that your child has working examples of how to approach each exam question.
Stimulating, highly focused, dedicated revision resources and materials, so that your child knows exactly how to revise English.
Extra Support
We want your child to develop their communication skills, as this will help prepare them for their professional and further academic career. Therefore, we offer your child extra support via email. Your child can email with a question about English (it could be from their school work, their own revision; or, from what we have covered), and we aim to get back within 2 -3 working days, This means your child has consistent access to help, allowing them to feel supported, so that they are more willing to study.
Self Study
We understand that live classes are not always the best option for students, that's why Uplevel Academy offers an exclusive Self Study course, allowing students to work at their own pace with targeted lessons designed to build up, and fill in the gaps, of the school curriculum. We do this with:
Guided lessons with tasks to practise what you are learning as you go and develop your skills.
Weekly homework to build upon the skills learnt in the previous week.
Access to our exclusive online learning portal including an extensive list of resources to work on the essential skills needed to excel in GCSE English exams.
Our Literature Masterclass Lecture Series offering a deep dive into each of the texts covered in GCSE English Literature exams.
As if that wasn't enough, we also include our reading for purpose library, which offers a list of reading materials all designed to develop specific skills through highly targeted texts.
